Spotlight: Pet Care Specialist
Looking for the paw-fect position? We’re looking for an extraordinary, energetic pet lover to join the Happy Tails team. The Pet Care Specialist is responsible for the safety of our animal guests, cleaning animal quarters, exercising animals, monitoring health and behavior, and working closely with the rest of the team.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning and maintaining animal quarters
- Effectively cleaning and sanitizing equipment and rooms
- Exercising animals as scheduled
- Monitoring and recording animal health and behavioral issues
- Playing and interacting with animals of all sizes and breeds, indoors and out
- Providing animal care including feeding, watering, and cleaning rooms
- Working with fellow employees and pet owners with honesty and respect
- Other duties as assigned, including helping in other departments
Requirements
- Experience working with animals preferred, but not required
- Must be able to lift animals of various sizes and heavy equipment
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail
