Dogs Earn Their Drive-Home Nap
Dogs are pack animals. Left alone all day with nothing to do and nobody to do it with, they find their own entertainment, and it is rarely the option you would have chosen for them.
Doggy daycare at Happy Tails Lodge gives your pup somewhere to put that energy. Acres of room to run, a group of dogs their own size and speed, and staff who are out there with them the entire time. Expect a tired, happy dog at pickup.

Acres of Play Space (and a Barn for the Rest of the Year)
Five half-acre play yards sit on what used to be veterinary hospital grounds. In summer there’s shade in every yard, wading pools for the dogs who want them, and always someone willing to throw the ball one more time.
When the weather turns (and in Great Falls — it turns) play moves into the round barn: 3,600 square feet of open indoor space with heated floors.
Daycare never gets cancelled for cold. It just moves inside.
The Right Dogs, in the Right Groups
Every new dog is evaluated before joining a play group. That evaluation tells us how they play, who they’ll do well with, and where they’ll be most comfortable — and it’s why our groups work.
From there, guests are sorted by size and temperament and supervised the entire time by staff certified in dog body language, group management, new dog evaluations, and canine first aid and CPR. Dogs who’d rather play with people than other dogs get exactly that.
Why a Tired Dog Is a Well-Behaved Dog
We all want well-mannered pets. But without a place to redirect pent-up energy, a pet can’t listen, no matter how much they’d like to.
Daycare takes that problem off the table.
- Better behavior at home — the chewing, digging, and barking that come from boredom tend to fade when the energy has somewhere else to go
- Real social skills — regular, supervised time with other dogs teaches manners that a backyard never will
- Physical conditioning — running on five half-acre yards beats a walk around the block
- A calmer house when company comes — send them to play, get a dog who can handle a living room full of people
- An easier transition to boarding — dogs who know the place and the staff settle into overnight stays faster

Do I have to commit to a schedule?
How are the play groups put together?
What if my dog doesn't like other dogs?
