Since 2014, the Happy Tails Pet Styling Academy has been training professional pet stylists inside a working facility in Great Falls. This is not your average classroom with a demonstration dog. It’s a real, working salon on a real pet care campus, with real clients walking through the door every day.
Hands-On Education
Students come out of our Academy understanding every aspect of grooming and design, equipped with the knowledge they need to start working or to open a grooming business of their own.
There’s no fixed cohort you have to catch. Grooming students work directly with our instructor to schedule their coursework and build a plan for completion that fits their life.

Where the Training Happens
The Academy sits inside Happy Tails Lodge, a full-service pet care campus on three acres in Great Falls — boarding, daycare, grooming, training, retail, and transportation all operating under one roof.
Students learn the trade surrounded by the business it belongs to, which is a different education than learning it in isolation.

Do I need grooming experience to enroll?
No. The Academy is built for animal lovers just starting out, and the program covers all aspects of grooming and design from the ground up.
Do I have to buy my own tools?
Students acquire their starter tools as part of the program, so you finish ready to begin work rather than ready to go shopping.
Is there a set class schedule?
Students work with our instructor to schedule coursework and build a completion plan that fits their circumstances.
